I know that we drive a fairly expensive car to insure. But I am just wondering what other people are paying for car insurance for a year?
If you could mention the company too that would help. Lets try and see who gives the best rates for an RD tib.

2800$ cnd = $2100 u.s. a year and I have full coverage, the company is
State Farm, and I supposedly get a break, because I have my motorcycle and life insurance with them, and I am a 6 star driver (no accidents or tickets) still seems like a hell of a alot for a single 29 year old.

I have USAA. I pay $708 a year for full coverage on my 1999 Tiburon. I am 30 years old, and my wife is 24.

Good lord man, you've got outrageous insurance. Is it usually that expensive in Canada?

Mine was like $104 a month for full coverage on my 2001 Tib, my 1993 Excel. I'm 28 and the wife is 31 with a BAD record. Oh, thru USAA too.

If I remember right, it's also REPLACEMENT coverage. They pay for the cost to replace your car if it's totaled. Instead of leaving you with nothing in the case of my 1993 Excel.

I have total / full coverage, full replacement insurance, which drive the price up a little. Plus it is a leased car, lol. I am buying it out at the end of the lease. (kinda hard to give back a car that has a whole pile of mods done to it) I have called around some companies are over $3000 cdn. Insurance prices have gone through the roof in the last couple of years. They are blaming it on fraud. (yeah sure)

I was asked to pay $600/mo. to State Farm after my last wreck, so we said no and got Progressive. It's done including all cars. I'm on under my parents, and it's about $680 every 3 mo. for a 98 Expedition, 97 Sebring Conv., and my 2000 Tib (including $2500 in aftermarket parts covered - which isn't specific, so it covers all aftermarket parts up to $2,500 whatever it is, wheels, bodykit, etc.)

I'm also only 20 yrs. old with 3 accidents (only 1 my fault) and 4 tickets (but insurance doesn't know about that). Being 20 really adds $$ to insurance prices.

You can go to Progressive.com I think and see how much it would cost for all of the vehicles. Worth checking it out for a free quote, and you can choose to accept the quote and get the insurance.

I went to the Progressive site, but http://www.progressive.com/shopinfo/availa...X=34&IMAGE1.Y=7

not avail in Canada. Strange because I see the ford explorers all over.

If I was the primary driver on my tib I would pay $11,000 CAD a year. That is mostly because I have a speeding ticket and an accident (not my fault but since the other guy took off..). Right now I pay $4,000 CAD a year as the primary driver of a minivan and secondary on my tib, a suv, and pickup. My insurance company is Certas.

I am 19 and pay $1350 every 6 months for a 97 tiburon under my parents insurance. It is full coverage but I am listed as the primary driver of my dad's ford f-150 truck. Insurance company said I had to be listed as the primary driver of the highest priced vehicle in the household. Oh and the company is brutheran mutual.
