I think they have the arcade game around here too. I think my sister said she saw one in our university SUB arcade and I read some hachiroku forum that they played it.
I haven't checked it out yet, but I think you can save your game or something like that and keep building your car. smile.gif

Many of the local arcades have had an Initial D game for a couple months now. I haven't tried it yet but my friends tell me it isn't that fun.
You buy a card that lets you save your points and car. You win races to gain points and you use the points to build up your car.
The game looks like it mostly grip based and unless you hit the wall...you don't need to down shift...just leave it in 5 or 6 gear...depending on the car.
If you're into games with drift racing...look for a game called battle gear 2...it's multiplayer so you can challenge your friends...but you can't save your car or anything.
