so let me tell you how messed up my b-day is today (thank you in advance)

Ok at about 7am, I get word of a possible homicide commited against a sailor that i know of in the building i work in...i never thought that something like this would happen to someone i know, and there is no way of catching the killer, because they killed themself afterwards, and the sailor that was murdered has 2 sons...just very upsetting, it is affecting everyone that i work with on daily basis...

Ok so now i get off and get home from work at 8:30, mind you that i work nights and I have to go back to work 2nite on my b-day at 8pm (since beening in Navy, i have never had my b-day off, either on deployment, out at sea, or have watch)...

Well later in the morning my wife calls me and says i have to pick our son up early from daycare (was going to pick him up at 5pm, so i can get atleast 6hrs of sleep), because it is snowing...all of 2 inches on the ground, these people need to move to Detroit, MI or anywhere they actually schedule snow days for schools...here are the pics, sorry about them my wifes camera is taking a crap drive





they shut down schools for this...OMFG

the only thing that makes up for this is, I am thankful to my Lord and Savior for every breath I take and making it to 26yrs old and that all my friends from around the world are emailing me wishing me a happy b-day...

Im just venting here, I will be fine!!! Just very upset about my fellow sailor

lol... Nashville shuts down at the threat of snow. We actually shut down because it got too COLD!! like 4 degrees above 0.

but Nashville's problem is ice. The temps always hover around freezing, so it freezes overnight, thaws during the day, refreezes at night.

man sorry to hear that your day is being crappy but as far as wa happened with your friend. i know how you feel. ive been through that. only thing you can do is be there an help them through it. hope your b--day gets better

closing for 4 above 0? like 2 and a half weeks ago we had complete whiteout and all of our highways were shut down because of how bad it was to see on the interstate (even worse intown) and we were still in school

Wow man. sorry to hear about about all that. That really sucks. As for closing the schools deal... wtf? Schools arent allowed to close here. even if hardly anyone shows they must keep them open.
