She would be heartbroken.



She would go on and on about how nice I was to her. How I always bought her nice expensive gifts. How I made sure that she only drank the finest fluids. She would talk about the nice vacations we would take, and how we supported each other's love of racing.



Then, she would talk about how things have changed.



She would talk about how she sits, lonely, waiting for me. How used she feels now that I only need her when there's work to be done. Even though I neglect her she still loves her time with me and rumbles to life whenever the kayaks or anything else needs hauled. What time we do still spend together we both cherish. She sees the look of guilt wash over my face as I turn away from her to get into the Miata every day.



She knows I still love her. She just wishes she could understand how I can love her but not need to be with her the way she wishes I would.
