If you could start over, from scratch, with a brand new 96-01 Tib...
What would you do?

2000-2001 Tiburon
Manual Transmission
Black
RSide TB, AirRam, N/A with probable nitrous setup, AEM CAI
MPS Kit, Lowered Suspension, Lightweight Silver 16" wheels
front, rear, center bars
backseat-delete, weight reduction while keeping it daily driver, no audio except for factory replacement
Racing seats (corbeau or sparco)
Optima battery, upgrade fuel and ignition system
Drilled / Slotted rotors
6000k HALO HID's
clear corners
CF hood from FlyRyde
possible CF hatch, no wing
CF sunroof (gotta have the sunroof) cool.gif
20% black tint all around, 35% front
DEI remote starter w/alarm & pager
window/sunroof relay setup
oh yeah, and manual tranny upgrades (no too familiar with it, so I won't go into detail)

Not everyone likes Turbos or wants to deal with the hassles and increased maintance of them.

Honestly, except for getting her smacked by my Brother-in-law and crushing the fender, hood, and headlight (and now I discover, the windsheild washer) there is little I would do differently... just would not have taken as much time as I have.

Spend $3000+ on a turbo kit and not the body kit (if I didn't have the accident). I would go all performance before looks.

well my car has gone through many transformations (mainly downhill...)

i would have taken care of it a little better, not have gotten the obx header(bought march of 2000 for 400 bux)
would have gone with 2.5 exhaust instead
i would have not had best buy light my car on fire...
genius kit
probably silver paint
stayed with my fx wheels
i would have bought a BBK instead of trying to build one...

i almost forgot the most important thing

I just added up my first post... without the cost of the car, it'd be at least $6,000 before touching the transmission.. and that doesn't factor in the CF hatch, nitrous setup, or headwork. Dang, I was actually thinking it'd be under $10k to build that setup. I guess it's more expensive when you start throwing in the numbers. 02.gif

i hope this doesn't become one of those turbo vs. n/a threads that go on for pages haha.

ok, the only thing i would have done is get a motoria that's it and nothing else if i had another chance. i love my damn car no matter if it's slow it looks hotttnesszzz. the new paint is coming soon so there's really nothing to take back. now if i were to go back in time i would have waited for a fully loaded 2.0 STICK SHIFT!!! Grrr...

I want three tiburons total. Mine in metallic hot cherry red. i'm a big red fan. another white version of mine. another black version of mine with my gold rims. i love 5-spokers!! maybe the black one would be all blacked out like blacktibs car but i love the "Kit" from KnightRider black on gold look. this is why i'm trying to convince my friends to get these cars!! (too bad my friends s*ck mad ballz and can't afford a damn car, don't trust or understand hyundai, or are into honda or muscle)

no turbo, Mad is right, even though turbos in tiburons are jaw-dropping, they're high maintenance and you have to have a lot of custom work done and you have to know way too much. high octane fuel and detonation threats discouraged me from getting a turbo... so i can't say i'm not happy with n/a even though i worked mad arse for "lousy" results.
