Audi rs4 or s6, you can get used ones for a resonable price now, or a mklll supra turbo. they're pretty rare now and are pretty awesome cars.

my buddy has one, i got to drive it and drive it hard!!! cool.gif it'd definitely be a nice car to have, but if you're going to have one might as well have the CR version, the sweetest S2000 ever.

well for me because i probably would stay in tuning scene i think an SRT 4 would be realistic cause i have a family and it will be much easier to put my son in his car seat

or i would get a 2005 VW Jetta GLI either the VR-6 or the 1.8L turbo

or if i want to stay in 2 door i would get VW GTI...

but right now i not ready to let go of the tib

maybe an SRT4 wold be good for you, maybe an evo idk how much they are used. honestly id get a 300zx single or twin turbo, can be got with around 13k in great condition

or maybe a GTI or 1.8t golf can be got for well under 12k that leaves extra xash for modding

I'd go with a gti, those things are fun.

I'm sort of in the same boat but I'm just going to save up and try to get a genesis around 2011.

s2k or 350z are great choices but be careful with Z's you want to buy a model year 2004.5 and up

srt-4? cool choice but american cars never hold value and allways have problems. just not a very practical choice IMHO

I always said I wanted a 944, and in 2001 I got one for cheep.
Then I said I'd add an RD2 tib to the collection and last year I did.

I have toys now so for all practical purposes I'd need a new model (06+) Accent. I miss my '07 and now that the dealership offers a short ram and strutbar options I'd be all over that as a daily driver.
Hell, the wife's going to be taking possession of a new '09 Smart ForTwo soon, but the dealership had some base Pure's from last years stock going for 10-11k. I wouldn't' even mind that.... but it would become a toy and 12k couldn't satiate. I'd need a Smartuki kit, the Passion paddles and chassis mods; but I suppose that may count since the mods would be subsequent.

You can also consider a 350z, I saw a local ad for one in good condition going for $12.5k. That's almost surely what I'd get. RWD and 300hp stock ftw

You're not getting a 300HP 350Z for $12.5K. Only the '05 35th Anniversary and the '06 stick shift cars came with 300HP.

As for what I'd get for $12K... a motorcycle.
