1: remove the rims and put some spares on then take a week off work and polish the lip of them and paint the spoked inside parts kameleon green to blue.

2: take off my front bumper, hood and passenger fender.. Rip all the paint off, fix the fender and hood (minor repair) and get them all repainted white so that my car is cosmetically perfect.

3: remove my back seat and build a faux seat from 1/2" ply and then finish it in black and blue acoustic carpet to match the front racing seats.
The back seat is inaccessible anyways, at least it wouldnt be grey and drab anymore.

4: get my hood airbrushed with an enormous ratfink logo taking a big bite out of a civic and spitting it over the front bumper.

All of which wouldnt be very expensive (I have a dude willing to do the brushwork for free but I cant remove my hood for him as I dont have another 02.gif ) but are not possible because the bills dont stop.

It's not a money thing, it's working the hours I do and not being able to have a single second where my car can be laid up whilst I perform said mods.

So, for those of us out there that 'have a dream' MLK style, what would you love to do to your tib that you cant do because life gets in the way?

 

^^ I think i'd probly do alot to my tib. I'd love to do a rebuild with bigger pistons and a few other parts.



I'd like to do a project from monster garage, like turn tiburon into a boat or a plane or a hot air baloon.



I'd repaint my car if it weren't for the time it would be down, probly a blue basecoat with a pink pearl and a purple metal flake

 

1. I need new rear struts
2. Lowering Springs..
3. Paint job because Hyundai paint sucks.

 

hmmm.. if i had time.. or if life didnt get in the way..

i have some xtra time im just lazy... but...

1. get my headlights and cornerlenses tinted (professionally) not niteshades
2. get my exhaust welded up, replace some missing nuts, fix the damn thing
3. get oil pan fixed (small leak from striped pan thread) sad.gif
4. clean up engine bay, and paint everything to make it look nice
5. finish my A-pillar installl
6. re-paint my ATH spoiler
7. remove silencer from exhaust (yes, im that lazy)
8. repaint rear H emblem

all this will only cost me maybe $300.00 yet i never seem to be able to get around to it, lol..

 

IF I had the money AND the time, I would:

swap a built motor and 5spd in... IM, TB, headers, full exhaust, clutch, flywheel, LSD, BBK... and have that sucker spotless.

 

Well when I get home and I do have the time I will be Sanding/ Primeing down my car completey and puting my zefiro body kit, New fenders, vert doors, (mabe new hood), work on new audio system, and a bunch of others thing I need to get done.

 

if i had time i would:

1. Rotate my freakin tires.
2. remove my bumper and use fiberglass and bondo to make a different look to the bottom. like a molded on lip.
3. try to get rid of the lil squeaks in the car.
4. swap out of led bulbs for the normal ones in the corner lense because leds dont blink !! pat.gif
5. Take out my air filter to clean...
6. Fix the TPS because i stripped the bolts on to the TB and i have some ghetto shiz that holds the tps to the tb.
7. Make some side skirts.
8. Lower my car more... maybe.

 

If I had the time (and the money) I would have kept my tib and modded it to death after getting the frame fixed... oh well, maybe next year I will attempt to find myself another 99

 

what im currently working on, hoping to finish before school:

-get my carputer in
-finish the molding on the rd1 fiberglass shark spoiler i bought and get it on my rd2


what i wont get around to but still want to do:

- build a fiberglass sub/amp enclosure so that i can get some damn bass in my car. already have the subs and amp, just dont want to throw them in a shitty box.
- finish my damn led fog lights, with higher mcd leds
- find some kind of climate control system for my car pc, get rid of all the hvac controls/clock on the dash, and throw some gauges in their place
- finish buying the parts for my turbo project and install them
- make a lip for my front bumper and mold it on, doing away with the running lights.
- finish making my custom tail lights, which will be blue or red at the switch of a button from up front.
- buy that "stage 3" clutch/flywheel kit off ebay and give it a try.
- finish up my DIY wilwood front bbk, and then begin to work on buying the parts for the back.
- re-tint my windows


god there is soooo much more in my head, but im just going to stop there. wink1.gif

 

- Service: Engine oil, gear oil, oil & fuel filters, brake fluid, coolant flush, clean & re-oil K&N, etc...
- 2 stripped IM studs from ages ago.
- Electrical gremlins.
- Install new deck & speakers.
- Interior rattle & squeak hunt.
- Scratches & dents... then kit.
- Cams & ECU reflash... or supercharger.
- Header.
- Vented hood.
- New seats or re-upholster stock ones.
- Darker tint.
- RD1 to RD2 hatch swap. No wing.

It's a little hazy, even to me, where the "will do" ends & the "wishful thinking" begins...
