Does anyone on the site know how to make a sequencer for six LED's in the pattern below:
O -- -- -- -- --
-- O -- -- -- --
-- -- O -- -- --
-- -- -- O -- --
-- -- -- -- O --
-- -- -- -- -- O
Something idiot proof if possible, or close to it please. I'm more carpenter then, well, anything else.
Thanks.

Wow talk about crappy timing. When is DTN due back?
I wonder though if anyone else has some know-how could help.
BTW I was trying to also figure out each light to have a 1-2 second lighting cycle.(I think that's the right terminology, y'know on for 1-2 seconds then the next light in sequence comes on.)
Think I found something here...

Just have to figure it out.

To build that circuit, you can find the components on digikey:
http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch...e=296-2037-5-ND
http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch...me=LM555CNNS-ND
These components will work with 12-14Volts. Get a couple more values for the resistor and capacitor to the left of the 555 (for the 1MOhm get a 500Kohm and a 2Mohm also, and for the 0.1uF get a 0.2uF and a 0.05uF also); the flash time will be proportional to the product of these two values.
Get a breadboard also to assemble them easily
http://search.digikey.com/scripts/DkSearch...ame=438-1045-ND
On a breadboard, the ABCDE pins on every line are connected (same wire), as well as the FGHIJ; the rails on the sides are connected vertically, as the red and blue lines show. You stick a DIP chip (as those above) vertically, with one row of pins in the E column and one row in the F column).

Radu thanks for the info, however, you're going to have to dumb it down a little. I have not had a chance to delve into the land of electronics. I'm just a foundation builder whom had an idea for his tibby.
Essentially, I need schematics, then I can figure it out, otherwise I'm Fu**ed. Typical carpenter, can't figure s**t out until you draw it out for them.
