I need some Canadian help.
Well, anyone who plays hockey really... help
I'm interested in learning how to skate, and then playing hockey. I know most of you Canadians were born skating, but I'm from Texas. So any tips, product advice, ect, ect would be GREAT! Thanks!

If you want to learn to ice skate, practice ice skating because rollerblading is similar, but not the same, and rollerskating is completely different.
The next step is to get a pair of decent inexpensive skates, a sports shop should be able to hook you up with a good fit.
Finally find someone to teach you. Possibly a cute girl, cause it is always more fun learning from a cute girl than a big hairy hockey coach!
Anyway, the best thing to do is try it. And have fun! Don't become a goalie because it is hard on the knees!

Thanks for that, I thought I might be good because of 8 years of playing catcher in baseball. Needless to say, the knees aren't too good right now.
