On Wednesday night me and two friends drove to a small town Wal-Mart 1hr away and got in line for the Playstation 3. They were only getting 4, and we took the first 3 spots in line (my roommate and I each got a 60 gb one, and my friend got a 20gb). Then my friend from high school called us and showed up to be the 4th spot (the last 20gb) about an hour later.
So for the past 30 hours I was in the Wal-Mart electronics section sitting in a chair, playing the new (not released yet) Nintendo Wii and watching tons of movies and drinking lots of caffeine. It was actually a pretty good time.
And has anyone seen the Wii? Dude, that thing is frickin awesome! They have these motion-sensitive controllers and one of the games is boxing .. it was so fun. We also talked the manager into opening up the new Wii Zelda game. That thing is awesome.
Anyway, none of me or my 3 friends even wanted a PS3, we just wanted to sell them on ebay to make some profit....
About 10 minutes before midnight (when Wal-Mart could legally sell the PS3's) I sold my spot in line to some guy for $1200 CASH..so for waiting for 30 hours I made $1200 profit. Pretty good deal if you ask me. I maybe could have gotten more on ebay from desperate people, but I thought this was good enough, I'm happy. Actually had a really fun time too, never thought spending 30 hours in Wal-Mart would be fun.
Here's my roommates and friends' PS3's on ebay if anyone was looking for one! :
