I have had a 1992 honda civic in my possession since Feb. I paid 200 bucks for it and it was running. Only problem is the orginal owner had a slight boo boo with it. The entire passenger fender looks like a t-rex took a bit out of it. It destoryed the fender, the hood and hinges, and the metal work in the engine compartment was completely mangled.

well my objective was to complete restore and modify this car. I started with the interior first. I took all that nasty tan out and painted the trim black and bought a black dash and some racing seats and a 4 point seatbelt harness. I have started my new job and it requires 10 hours a day and I am also a part time college student. I decided I was going to just fix the honda and trade it in with my mustang for a new car. I did some research on trade in values and well I wasn't impressed with the civics numbers. It would cost me double its worth just to repair the metal work. All I needed was that metal work redone and I could have replaced the hood and fender myself. So now I am thinking of just parting it out and selling all the performance mods I bought for it and then junking the rest. I guess when you modify v8s a honda civic just doesn't seem worth it. As much as I wanted to finish this I do not have the time or money to complete this. and right now I don't think I have the motivation.

Pull any good parts and scrap it. You only paid $200 for it anyway.

As for parts you bought, eh... should be fairly easy to find takers for a low profit loss since its a bigger aftermarket than us.

Definitely part it out. There is no way you can get that fixed and break even in the end. Try www.honda-tech.com. There are plenty of other sites out there also. Just don't let yourself get raped in the shipping like others have.

yeah I have every intention of parting out and hoping to recoop most of my loses. I have alot of brand new stuff for this car and some universal parts. I even have all the parts for what is known as a mini-me swap. which is putting D16 head on a D15 block.
