I Finally Got A Friggin Job.. W00t

Well, today was totally bad ass except for the early morning phone call.
heres how it started out, phone rings at 7:45 am.. now take into consideration, i haven't worked really since april 06, so i havent really gotten up before noon most days.. thats early for me.. the lady on the phone says she wants me to come in at 1pm for my 2nd interview.. im like ok, sweet, be there at 12:45pm.. so im thinking with my luck, im not going to get the job. i walk in, they have me fill out my paperwork, and go to the clinic for my drug exam.. they said if i pass the exam, im hired..
you have NO idea what those words meant to me. i haven't worked since april 06 and couldn't find a job ANYWHERE. in the time i was off work, the following things happened: i had unemployment (saved my ass for a while), found out i was having a kid, had to move out of my apartment, had to sell some things to pay bills.. i thought i was screwed, but now i FINALLY have a damn job.. w000t.
not only is it a job, but i get to work as much overtime as i want, AND its a union job. i get FULL healthcare benifets after 45 days, and starting wage isn't bad. and after 2 years of employment the minimum wage is 20$ per hour.
i will be working as a quality control inspector for National Precast, making sure all the concrete forms, rebar structures, and inserts are the right size, in right place, and right material in the forms. National Precast has a huge workload and is responsible for a lot of BIG structures in the detroit area and some of the midwest..
wish me luck in this new job.. w00t.

awesome job man, congrats.
i almost got a job as a concrete form designer about a year and a half ago, but i f***ed up and told the truth on my resume. said that i still wanted to pursue my bachelor's in aerospace engineering, and they wanted someone in for the long hall.
looked pretty fun though. good luck.

YES! lol finally. its about time. lol mb now you can afford to drive out here for a cruise an sh*t. lol btw im in the process of aquiring materials to build that lil paintbooth i told ya bout. lol now if i can find a full time instead of two partimes. but its michigan, so ill keep the faith. ya right

I also got a new job about a couple weeks ago, finally an office job too lol
And yes you have to lie sometimes about your resume..places want you to say youll be there permanently.

tibby01, yah i learned real quick that if they ask, your intending to make a career of this. I wouldnt have got my job (working for a real estate company) unless they thought i intended on staying for good.
