I'm sure some of you remember me posting about that accident I had on April 2nd. The hit and run that damaged my back quarter panel and door? Well, the Tib has been in the shop since Monday morning and ALREADY I am going through withdrawals. I'm driving around my dad's Tracker and it's too big. Too high off the ground. Too bright. Too bouncy. Even the system doesn't sound right, lol. I miss it. 02.gif

Fortunately, I am supposed to get the Tib back next Wednesday, June 1st. My driver's side back quarter panel and ground kit are being completely replaced. The door is being repaired. I also got new mudflaps to put on since 2 of mine fell off and the other 2 are torn to hell. Good thing these 10 days aren't THAT much. When the Tib had to get the tranny replaced from a Hyundai dealership up in north Jersey (I live in central/south Jersey), it took them a damn MONTH to fix because they kept making excuses.

keep the faith! Just keep thinking about how nice your tibby is going to look when you get it back.

 

YEa i know how u feel! Hail damage ruined almost my entire car about 2 months ago. When i got it in the shop i was without it for a full WEEK and it killed me but im so glad cuz it looks SO much better now. Just waitin on my hood which should be here this week. And some fenders that well are still up in the air right now! But yea i know what you mean by withdrawl. Sucks but itll come back and youll be glad you did it!

 

i went thru the same thing with my bad clutch.. was not able to drive it for about 1.5 months.. but it was definently worth the wait smile.gif

 

6 more days... and dammit, I BETTER get it back in 6 more days. And it better not even look like it was fixed... as in: the black paint better all match.

 

Once you get it back, you'll forget all about not having it wink1.gif

 

I know how you feel some drunk rear ended me. and the tibby was out for 4 weeks 02.gif but she looked so good when i got it back.

 

Haha, when I get it back, I won't let anyone touch it, ahahah. When I first got it, I was like "NOOOO YOU CANNOT TOUCH IT." and "NOOOOO YOU CANNOT DRIVE IT." Then I just got tired of yelling at everyone. Now I know I'm going back to how I originally was. I can then start working on new things for my car, like the decal that's going on the window, the clear corners, the rims (I don't want to go all out... I just want something cleaner looking), and keeping it clean. I just didn't even care if it was clean the past 2 months because there was a huge dent in the side... so what would it matter if it was clean?

Mad_john, that sucks. 02.gif Did you at least get money out of the guy that hit you? I didn't... and I'm still pissed. I'm still hunting down the truck that hit me.
