Once I finally get all the parts from Chris (blacktibs) this is how the TypeS rear bumper is going to look once I am done with it. The Taillights are are already halfway done. I used Lexus IS300 lights.. One large and one small in red and one small in clear per side. I just need to do some glassing to get the lenses in place and all the leds wired up.

The second is the front fender of my spider.. showing how it should more or less look with the Vdub driving light and the Alfa turnsignal in place.

Perhaps not the best pics in the world. I threw them down on the paper kinda fast and then Corel Draw refused to scan.. so I had to go through MS Paint.

Looks good, both of them. You have to take your hat off to Pininfarina, those are some really nice lines on all his designs. I miss my 124 spider.

Except for the use of some cheap ebay altezza lights... they really are all from the Toyta Altezza. I took the housings from a set of tib altezzas and gutted them compleatly until they were nothing more than a shell. I even cut the backs out of them. I threw away all the lenses save the small reversing light. I am saving them for a later project.

I then got a set of clear trunk lights for the Altezza/IS 300, a set of red of the same, and a set of main tails for the Altezza/IS 300. I broke apart the main lights for the big round lenses and cut open the four smaller trunk lights for their lenses and then cut everything to fit into the housings as you more or less see them in the picture.

Next wil be glassing up a back to the taillights to hold the lenses in place and to hold the 70 3157 LED lamps (in red) in place in a circular pattern and then the 8 amber 1157 LED lamps that will be going into the turnsignals.

When running with the lights on, all six lenses will have a circle of LEDs like the Skyline GTR.. when I hit the brakes the inner most lense will fill in compleatly and the middle larger will just have it's ring glow brighter. The outer ring, which is behind a clear lense, will not change. When I hit the signals, the clear lens' middle will illuminate with 4 LED units per side..

Yes, I am intending on blinding people when I hit the brakes. All the better to keep them from hitting me. If the LEDs are bright enough, I might put a smoked outer lense over the entire unit.. or I will just paint everything not LED black and put a clear lens in place.

While the Fiat 124 spider did come from Pininfarina's design house... it was actually designed by an american. Chris Tajaarda who did work on a show car for GM while working for Pininfarina.. the Corvette Rondine
