Because I don't have a build thread, here is a random update on my beta LC1

WA police gave me the gift that just keeps on giving! So, it sure has motivated my ass to fix all the little things that have needed doing for a while. Today, all of the interior has gone back in (albeit without sound deadening, but honestly who gives a f*ck) along with the OEM wheel covers. Here is just a portion of my hoarder's shitheap/pile of brittle plastics.

I registered the change of engine number with the department of transport, and now have an official form with my new engine number. Its a pretty handy loophole that has worked for other swappers, and I doubt they will even check/notice/care about the engine because the sticker was for having no interior. Still to sort tomorrow:
-the front left and spare tyres are both down to the tread wear markers.
-I need to grab an alignment because the steering wheel is clocked about 1/16th of a turn anticlockwise
-There are still a few missing trim tabs and shizniz to get from the wreckers yard. I kept all of my interior, its just some of the bolts that do go missing over time.
-The CEL doesn't illuminate, and the air bag light is always on. I'm going to wire them both into the battery warning light so it seems like they are functioning correctly.
-Wipers and reverse lights need wiring up
-Nig rig the exhaust so it it fitting on all the hangers, atm it is only connected to like three of them, and it bangs against the frame under hard cornering.
-Give it a good wash
I need to do all of this tomorrow, because I'm away from the 31st to the 2nd, and the yellow expires on the 4th. I think I'll manage. It is certainly a good way to get productive again. I'm already missing having no interior though... it is so quiet and chubby having all that trim in place! Yuck!

So, I'm going to smash back the auto work today, and try and find a chillaxed/privatised inspection station near my house. I'm not looking forward to wiring up the wipers tomorrow, I might need some help with that one, lets see what happens.

Heh, try being a one-man ecu reverse engineering team. If I didn't like the challenge, and have this weird urge to use the factory ECU to thump down massive HP while passing emissions, I'd have bailed on this project by now.
