Rust removal, eugh. There's always one-up on how thorough you can be...

I'm grinding it down until I can't see any more rust, or even any black spots. I'll soak the remaining metal with rust convertor, then hit it with primer, paint, fish oil, and new gaskets for the area. Hopefully that will tide me over.
