Figured it start a topic to see what people are payin for insurance and why.

Mine is a little over 3200 a year
1. Very small accident-cited
2. ticket- ran stop sign
3. 3 car wreck-cited

And the fact Ive onwed only sports cars doesnt help. I lost my license when i was 16 right when the summer hit so i had to go a whole summer no license. had to go to driver improvement class where DUI and other SERIOUS offenders go but go figure i was the only one to show up to class lol. I pay every 6 months and its due in January right after the damn holidays mad.gif

**all of this was in my old car--celica** it was also backed up into twice. hit a side driveway wall. so 2 wrecks + 2 back ups+ the death+ the wall= 6 times body damage haha how pathetic am i...i think it was a sign to get rid of it and i finally did in another accident that claimed its life lol. Got a tib now and been clean ever since!

god bless them tibs
anyways not sure of the yearly. but mine is around $260.00 a month.. so
260x12 = 3120year

that's also with a speeding ticket / and flipping my 95 accord. over and over.
Januarly it will be droping to around 150.00 a month

so.. 150x12 = 1800 a year!!

I have had a very bad start. In Massachusetts we have a step system. you start at step 15, every year of clean driving it goes down 1 step. every ticket or accident is anywhere from 2-5 steps. the lowest the step will go is 9. So at one point, i was a step 25 and almost lost my license. I'm now a step 23 (nothing in 2 years). at the worst time, my insurance was over $4200 a year (with collision). Now the tib is paid off, so I dropped collision, and with my lower step, i'm back down to $2100 a year. I dropped collision because blue book value with my mileage on a 97 tib is under $1000. If anything were to happen to my car, it would be declared an instant total, and I won't even get the chance to get my CD's out of the visor. This way I can fix the tib myself, if I choose to.

I pay $114 a month for my car and my wife's 2003 Nissan Frontier. Both cars have full coverage with accidental death insurance, towing, uninsured motorist and everything other option that's available. If we didn't have the options, our insurance would be even lower then that. We have the very best coverage available though State Farm. Also, Since we have our home and car both covered with the same insurance, we get a discount on both as well.
