Default How do you feel about this?

Some guy, since 1997, has been digging out the basement of his house using only radio controlled scale construction equipment.

There's an entire 53 page thread about him here: http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=25724

Every morning he drives his excavator on its transport truck down to the basement:

Unloads it:

He uses the excavator to dig out the basement walls...

Then he loads RC trucks with the excavators...

The trucks work their way up a spiral ramp to the basement window:

And then the soil gets dumped outside:

He uses bulldozers to consolidate the pile outside:

That's seriously awesome! I would say more constructive than sitting around watching TV all evening.

Hundreds of dollars in RC construction equipment, years of work that could have been completed much quicker with a shovel and some sweat. But still mad props to him for the dedication to something. Imagine if he devoted the same dedication to anything else.

That is the most ridiculous thing I've seen all week. That is crazily awesome in every good way imaginable.

But why?
