how can i get rid of my car?
alrite... here goes
I have a lein on my vehicle. my payoff, believe it or not, is still in the 5 figures. (i told you guys... i paid too much for this car [due to 10% interest.])
I feel i'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. as most know, i'm in a financial drought right now. i skipped out on february's car payment. same will go for march. i can't afford the car anymore.
how would i go about gettin rid of this thing since i owe more than what it's worth? i would prefer another hyundai. either a first gen (since i could get one relatively cheaper) or an elantra.
i just have no idea how i would go about gettin rid of it except for setting it on fire...
any input? it's greatly appreciated
and i won't put up w/ any OT stuff in this thread. mad.gif

Get a good job?
Or a second crappy one?
Get your credit fixed NOW before it's too late.

Well I would say refinance it. But with the way your credit is probably right now I dont know if that would help much. And dont feel bad I still owe 10 figures on mine too.

looking at all of the things you added to your car, you should have saved that money for car payments. I know, I know, I do the same thing. That being said, you could start parting out some of you aftermarket stuff to help with the payments.
What do you do for a living? Do you have any skills that are being unused. Maybe there is a better job out there for more money out there for you. If you are a computer type person, I would check out http://www.ynot.com/modules.php?op=modload...le=ynot_main_ea You can make HUGE money with an adult website. Check out some of the educational articles. There is probably enough info there to get you started with some supplemental income.

You signed the contract, so your stuck with paying that amount. Even if someone steals your car, I imagine the insurance will pay you less than you owe. The only way to get out of it is filing bankruptcy. If your monthly bills are equal to or more than you bring in, I think that's the requirement for the go ahead on clearing that debt. Also, you can only file bankruptcy every 7 years.

best i can say is maybe start helping friends w/ their cars and having them pay you to fix/ modetc... and start selling stuff on e-bay. people will buy anything and sometimes will bid outrageous amounts on regular stuff
