Our cars also weight a lot more now too. My CB7 Accord tipped the scales at roughly 2200lbs, an accord today is over half of it's grandpappy over again.

Now find the curb weight of a pony truck vs. a modern Tuscon.

The model size creeps up with time, then the manufacturers have a revolutionary idea and release another city car. Rinse, and repeat.

Interesting, and something I've noticed for a long time. I LOVED small peppy cars. They're all huge, heavy, and spongy today.

The 90's were the best. Everything was in between too small and too large. Just right in fact.

The accord was compact, got huge then they released the civic

the civic was compact, got huge then they released the fit

the fit was compact, is getting huge, and they're looking to release another city car

Same goes for pretty much every passenger car lineup in the past 30 years

Yep. The '13 Sentra is LARGER than an 80's Maxima.
