Why would you put a Corvette motor in an Rx-7? That's just wrong...

Nothing wrong wit that at all. You would do that because rotary engines tend not to like knock, so you could go through a few engines trying to tune it, or just use the LS1 which alot of people do (not alot btu I think thats the engine of choice for most ppl, isnt it?)
