Default Homeowners Association fees

Anyone here pay them? How much are they, and what do they include? I'm looking to move into a new condo and the fee's are $150/month. That includes trash pickup and all maintenance on the buildings and landscaping.

$90/year

Basically includes...nothing. They cut the grass in the communal open areas that's about it.

I think it's $23/mo. for me which includes water/maintenance/landscaping of common areas and replacement of trees.

No swimming pool or anything like that.

Generally, apartments and condos have a higher fee, as it goes into a pool, like for when the shared roof needs to be replaced by the HOA. A coworker is paying $130/mo. and there wasn't enough to cover their new roof, so they're charging an extra $3,000 one time fee per unit.

$220/year on a house to upkeep a pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, nice little playscape in a nice little park, swings, etc., plus landscaping in common areas, and access to a "clubhouse" which is an empty shell you pay extra to host parties inside.

Condo fees will be way high, because of all the stuff they take care of that regular HOAs wouldn't ever consider dealing with.
