That's right.
It was announced yesterday that Sony will only have 400,000 PS3's available in N. America for the launch in November. They are planning, at MAXIMUM now, to ship 2,000,000 units before January 1st, that's less than 1/2 of what they said before. Japan is only getting 100,000 of them.

Before any of you b**** and wanna know, Microsoft had 1.5 Million 360's out for the launch. Remember how bad the shortage was THEN? HAHAHAHAHahahahahah!
All of this on top of the cuts in promises, high prices, forced DVD upgrade, and cuts in technology?
1. 4 Controllers playing per system, not the 7 promised.

3. No HDMI cable included. Bought in bulk by Sony, they would cost about $5 a piece. Instead, you'll have to buy a 39 to 150 dollar cable yourself if you want HDMI.

4. Only 1 ethernet port, and it's not a ethernet hub as previously advertized.

6. VERY long load times. Expect a game like Oblivion, which has load times on the 360 when you start up of up to a minute, to be about 8 to 12 minutes on the PS3.

7. There is still not one finished PS3. Not ONE. The development kits (which can't fit the hardware into the PS3 case yet), have run out, and there are no more for the developers to get and make games on.

10. Currently doesn't run at 3.5 GHZ, only 2.8 GHZ. The PS3 shell can't dissapate the heat that the 3.5 ghz makes and melts down.

11. Also, the big ass power supply is going to be external, like the 360's. Funny, the Sony folks had scoffed at this before, saying, "that is certainly not next gen."
