canadianshark74 - he was on in april trying to sell a steering wheel. it could be the same car, might not though, either way not a previous member as far as i remember.

edit: hehe well nrg couldn't have been a jerk here, never posted

I did a bit more research though. I guess rival imports was all hyundai's, I just figured it was some canadian thing.

Def. nice. You can tell its an authentic Veilside kit because the front bumper is level with the sideskirts. Not that its a really good idea to have the front that low....either way. If I were rich and had nothing better to do, Id spend a lot of money on rims that look like they buckeled under the weight of the car lol.

I had my intercooler mounted for weeks before I finished the rest of the kit. It was just easier to do.

I saw/met the guy twice. Once was at HS, and the second time he was in some car show that came to Windsor. He was a nice guy. I know hes been trying to sell the car for awhile now.

QUOTE (REDZMAN @ May 7 2006, 11:45 PM)
This guy has been a member here a few times. Can't remember his name, but he doesn't take criticism well.

Matter of fact, I think he was an asshole too.

Ever notice that most of the "ALL SHOW" guys are assholes?

His name is Luke. He's the former owner of Rival Imports. I used to be a member until it went downhill. He's a nice guy. The car is in awesome shape. He picked up several trophies last year. I would know because I kept hoping that he wouldn't show since he was my biggest competition until Importfest.

The car has everything for a turbo set up minus the actual turbo (He needed extra cash in a hurry).

The car runs perfectly fine, the engine is NOT fried, he brought it out several times last year to show it while it was still for sale. I keep trying to get him to come out, but he doesn't want to put any more mileage on it. His main reason for selling is that he just got married and had a baby girl recently. I still talk to him from time to time, he just wants to get rid of it so that he can get something a little more family oriented, much like everyone else when the time comes.

As for whether or not he's an asshole, he's far from it. Whenever I've needed help, he's given me the best advice possible, and never once had anything negative to say. We were at a show in Niagara Falls once, it was my first big show involving judging, and he was right there showing the judge how a few things on my car were better than his. Not many people will do that for someone else.
