Sounds like an axle is rubbing something... You probably bent it a little bit in your accident and now it's rubbing. Definitely doesn't sound bad, but would be worth getting looked at or replaced (shouldn't be wildly expensive to replace the axle). I really doubt it's your bearings though, you're right, they don't really make that sound, and it would probably make it all the time.
Have you ever had it make the sound while it's turning? If so, which way? Also, do you notice any shake or other change in your steering wheel when you drive? Need a little more info as to when it occurs, and any changes it makes during driving (change in pitch, intensity, etc).
Oh and I definitely could tell you were Canadian when you said 'out' LOL.

it is actually really loud, people stare me down when im driving. after i hit the curb my steering isnt straight anymore, i know my passenger lower control arm needs to be replaced, and the sway bar snapped off. but the sound is comming from the driver side. the noise is more constant when im cruising but on hard acceleration it barely makes it. my steering wheel is off to the left now, so when i move it right to where the steering wheel should be possitioned it doesnt make this noise at all. but when i put the steering wheel to where it should be the car starts to go right slightly. and the passenger wheel is pushed back maybe an inch or 2 and rubs on my inner fender when i make a tight right turn.

ive been saving up to fix this all but its hard cuz im saving for college at the same time, so im trying to keep the cost down so i really cant afford to pay a mechanic 70 bucks and hour to tell me something someone else could tell me for free. and to whoever is right ill send you something if you want. and while im fixing it im going to lower it a lot at the same time, about 2 inches.

and how could you tell i was canadian when i said "out" lol

I'm thinking an axle is like $50. Socks suggested http://rockauto.com to me for an axle... haven't ordered yet. Also make sure to get new axle seals from the dealer, they might have to order them. It's about $5 for a pair.

Oh, if there's that much wrong with it after the accident, I think that pretty well answers what needs to be fixed... I'd start with the axle though, I think my dad had one installed on his J2 and it cost well under $100 (the mechanic was really nice and low rate). From there, start fixing the different parts that got broken.
Canadians have this funny way of saying 'out' that I was able to pick up. Comes out more like a 'eout' or something fing02.gif

i have had my driver side axle replaced by a mechanic, it was $125 with installation. It takes about an hour to install the mechanic said and he got the part from a junkyard for about $75. That was already pulled part tho and they charge more down here if they pull the parts for you. I have looked at the axle and it looks like you just have to jack the side up you need to replace, take off the wheel, and then there are a few bolts that attach to the chassis to loosen and then it slides right off. Correct me guys if I am wrong on this.

And always replace the whole axle, you can not replace just the parts on the axle

Sounds to me like a humming sound? I just had the hub bearing on my GF's car replaced for what looks like an identical problem. That is, if you agree it sounds like humming.
