i need to know where to look for parts for a chevy 350.
i blew a rod thru the oi.l pan and need to know approximately how much what is needed. if the block may be salvaged or do i need a whole new motor. i have absolutely no clue. i neeed your guyss help bad and asap.

I hate to break your bubble.. but with all the japanese engines running around.. nobody wants the plain old chevy 350 anymore.

Just kidding, you should know that.

ANYBODY dealing with domestic cars should be able to get your the parts you need. From speed shops to the local chevy dealer. Even Pepboys, autozone, and like can help you.

Hell, you can probably pick up a rebuilt engine for less than a grand, pull out your old engine for the core, and drop it and drive away in a couple of days.

chevy 350 small bloock, 4 barrel quadradra jet carb. just the basic 350 with mod and a rod thru the side

The block is toast. Summit or jegs is probably your cheapest bet crate motor just depends on if you want a short block or long block. You can take your chances with a junk yard motor but would be safer to buy a crate motor in this situation. or you can try ebay. But again thats a used motor usually.

chevy 350 parts are so easy to get. you can go to somewhere fancy like summit racing or you can go to an advance auto parts store or pep boys. cool.gif

thx guys i really appreciate all the help. i have to did\sassemble the front clip to get the engine out cause it sits to high but while its out i will prolly upgrade some parts.
