Those covers are HARD to pull off I don't know how anyone does it without denting the crashpad. Now i've got to come up with some sort of coverup for that. I may make some custom pods or something.
hese are connected in paralell with the stock speakers. Does that bring the total ohmage down to 2 ohms overall? The reason I asked is because I have a 4 ohm aftermarket stereo and I've found it sounds better without the tweeters hooked up. The tweeters themselves sound like a tweeter should, but I think it's causing distortion because of the low ohmage. Anyone ever ohmed out the stock lines?
Update: LOL! The dents went away after 3 hours of sitting there in a warm car. Sweet.
Still wondering about how many ohms total the front speakers with a tweeter is.

i was lucky and had my windshield out for the body work when i did the tweeters. but my advice to get them out is to use a plastic pannel pry tool. you wont end up with pry marks.. screwdrivers are always a good way to leave pry marks on your dash.
i noticed some people reffering to stock decks tho. i thought hyundai came standard with clarion head units in the tiburons?? from 96-02 that is

How do you like your flip down nOOb and how much was it?
i got the in dash for $250 it wasn't bad brand new. the pain in the rear was glueing 2 kits together to get it in! seems the big a/c controls get in the way of the screen coming up. a shop said for $240 they'd make me a fiberglass one but i can make my own for $20. i've actully got 2 more of them head units. for $225 each. the 1 supports 2 sources at once. ie radio in the front. game in the back or dvd in the front or back and something in the front. Very nifty. my next bit of fun will be removing the air bags to put screens!
also i got the tweets out. nothing like a bit and a pair of pliers to turn it! i also switched amps MTX blue thunder pro 504 for the highs. 2 JL 500/1's for the subs. i keep changing subs from soundstream SPL 170's to pioneer premier 12's but my finial install is on its way via ups. i'm putting 6 kicker L7 12's back there in a custom built VENTED box should be intrerresting. CAN WE SAY NEW HATCH!
