With this thread that we are all talking in about the possible cure for AIDS being found, and the subsequent discussion of STD's in general, I thought this could be an interesting, if not SHOCKING poll for us to run here.

All I want is for everyone to vote in the poll. This isn't if you KNOW someone with one of these, this is if you personally have or have had one of these STD's in your life.

You CAN post if you want to about your experience, your treatment, whatever, but you don't have to. Just the vote is what I want.

Please, keep it on topic, and don't put anyone else down.

This is being done basicly as a way for us to show all the youngsters here, that yes, everyone can get them, and how many of their friends online have them.

I'D LIKE TO REMIND EVERYONE THAT WE HAVE NO WAY AT ALL OF KNOWING WHO IS VOTING FOR WHAT, SO YOU CAN VOTE IN CONFIDENCE. IF YOU ARE STILL AFRAID TO VOTE, FEEL FREE TO PM ONE OF THE SUPERMODS OR MYSELF AND WE CAN EDIT YOUR VOTE INTO THE TOTAL.

 

I get tested once a year. Just to be safe.

So far, I haven't had any problems. Didn't see that option, but felt the need to post anyway.

it would be nice to compare how many people do to how many people dont tho. we have no idea how many people dont this way

Sorta off-topic but I had a big scare once, lol, not sure if any other guys have had this happen but you get itchy, burning, rashy..ew.

Turns out it's just from doing it too much. LOL.

The only real scares I ever had were from a couple of broken condoms. And believe me, the last thing on my mind was worrying about STD's.

 

I've never had an STD, but a while back my officemate moved out and I was throwing out some of his stuff and found a prescription slip for Valtrex, which is a herpes medication. Something I didn't want to know!

 

The only people that are gonna vote are the ones that actually got tested, which is gonna be rare.
Most people have never got tested and probably DO have something. It's important to show how many people DON'T know if they have something.

Need a choice of "Never Tested, so I'm clueless"
