So last night...I get to the club and start setting up my gear to spin my set. I had gotten there super early (around 8), and didnt start until 10. Mainly because I wanted to get a bite to eat before getting the night kicked off. So I'm all done, and I look outside and I see a brand new white GTR in front of the club. My eyes got real big when I saw it, but my jaw literally dropped to the ground when I saw who got out of it.
My friend Mike (a frequent clubber every weekend), who owned a 10 second Evo (it got stolen about a month ago), was the person who got out of it. This kid has more money than he knows what to do with. He's a professional paint ball player, with a full team and goes on tour and everything. Hes been in magazines, on tv, and has sponsors up the ass. The kid is contantly buying me drinks at the club when I spin, because I always play the stuff he likes. laugh.gif What he doesnt know is, I get free drinks during my sets...so I always tell the bartenders to pocket the cash when he comes up to buy a drink for me...since I get them for free anyway. *haha*
So, I run outside and start talking to him about it. With the money he got from his insurance company, plus some extra...he was able to pick it up at a really good price. Told him I was going to get something to eat, and he said he'll go with me, and we could go in the GTR. Let me tell you....this car is worth every penny that he paid for it (wouldnt give exact details, but he said it was over $70G's). Its so smooth and when he stomps on the gas, the feeling is like non other. I was in his Evo, and Ive even been in some fully built STi's. None of them give you the same feeling as the GTR. It takes corners like its on rails, and he was saying that HKS has already cracked the ECU (which is supposedly untunable by Nissan). He plans on doing some mild upgrades to the car, but for the most part...hes going to leave it alone.
Its his daily driver, but he plans on putting it away for the winter in about 2 weeks. I'll get some pics of it next week when I see him again at the club. smile.gif
