Got Guns?
I'm a little excited because I purchased a Remington Sendero in 300RUM. It should get here wed. but have to wait until my FFL shop calls me. Also bought a Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50 to mount it. Couldn't afford the scope it deserves, but it's a nice temporary until I can.
Academy's black friday sale has a Savage FXP 22LR for $119. Think I'll grab that one for the price, even though I've been wanting a Ruger 10/22. Can't have enough and it's always best to pick them up when they're crazy cheap.
I'm not a huge collector, but I recently started to since I now have a family to protect. I'm wanting to get my kids the youth rifles in 22lr for Christmas. Even the girls like guns. It may be a southern thing, but I'm part of the crowd that lets their kids handle the guns in order to teach them the respect.
The rest of my collection consists of a Mossberg 500 Persuader, Taurus Mill Pro 9mm, and Taurus TCP. Kinda lame for now, but I'll catch up.

What do you even have down there to shoot with the 300 RUM?
I just picked up a Remington 700 in .270 Win. I was going to build a .458 SOCOM AR-15 for deer hunting but this just made more sense. Hunted all season with it but never got to fire it in anger.
Also have:
16" AR-15 5.56x45 that I recently built around a polymer lower
Saiga (AK variant) in 5.56x45 converted to 922r compliant with a bunch of goodies
NORINCO SKS 7.62x39
Stevens 320 HD 12ga
Marlin Model 60w .22LR
Glock 22 .40 ACP
Diamondback DB9 9mm
I think I'm actually missing something but I'd have to look in the safe.

All I have is a Ruger 10/22 with a PS90 style bullpup conversion, Mosin Nagant and a Keltec KSG.
I have a ton of 7.62x39 rounds in mags because I intend to buy an AK before to long. But the wife gets the next one.

Hogs for fun. Parents have a ranch with just over a half mile long easement that I can target shoot.
Wish it was longer though. I'd like to get out to 2000yds.
I'm actually going to start looking for a 270 soon for hunting down here. I've just been borrowing rifles thus far. My dad has quite a few.

Yesterday, I walked into Academy when the doors opened (not early), and still ended up first in line for a gun! That meant I didn't have to wait for all the others to get their background checks done. Ended up getting the Savage 64 FXP to give to my step son for Christmas. I also grabbed a Crickett 22LR youth rifle in pink for my girls at $119. I could have sworn it was $99 a couple days earlier.
They also had a box of 500 Winchester 22's for $32 and got the last one. They must have had only 8 per store.

I am legitimately sad I missed some of these:

I am going to save up for next year. Those deals are actually worth lines and people.

I've been looking over the past few years and more and more stores are adding guns to their BF deals.

I also need a safe and think I'm going to jump on this:
Dick's pic
The add says 16 gun fire safe but the image is small. Going to scope it this afternoon in store.
Gun safe holds up to 16 long guns
ETL verified for 30 minutes at 1400 degrees Fahrenheit
Three number combination lock
Drill-resistant, hardened steel plate behind lock provides a higher level of security
Five total locking bolts including three live action and two dead bolts
1" steel bolts are located on each long side of the door
If it checks out $400 plus 99 shipping is a helluva deal!
