What's going to Turbo! Ultimately this is your decision, but if your going to quit everytime you're questioned... Well that just means your a quitter!

I must say to hear the type of #'s your cars in Greece are putting out how can you not question that? Hopefully you decide to stick around but if not, take good care of yourself...... and each other!

Unbelievable, man. sad.gif

You're leaving because Tasos' and your car come under scrutiny???? Your numbers are questioned, and you just up and bail? That's really lame, man. If you are correct, and your car is putting out 265 HP, what is the harm in posting your dyno sheets? If Tasos is correct, and his car is putting out 190 HP, what is the harm in posting his dyno sheets?

We want to believe you. We'd LOVE to have proof that we CAN believe you. The criticisms and questions that people are posting about these numbers are simply requests to HAVE PROOF that we CAN believe you. They aren't personal slams against your integrity or your trustworthiness. Your numbers are incredible, amazing, and above-average. They are numbers that cannot be normally comprehended. Hence, some people would like to have SOME form of acceptable proof that these claims are accurate.

This seems VERY unlike you to just walk away like this man, instead of rising to the challenge, posting your dyno sheet, and proving those that question you wrong! Walk away, and your integrety remains questioned. Stay and prove us wrong, and your integrity remains clear.

This isn't any sort of slam against you, Turboman. I'm just suprised to see you leave over this.

Is this because of what I said? Geez man, no offence, but you can't give no proof, I WANT to believe you. But it's even harder now that you are going to up and run when questioned. Hey, if you are leaving, I wish you the best of luck with whatever you do, and hope that I can see your beastly 265 HP one day. As always, take care, you never know when your life will end, so take it for what it is worth.

I understand how heated internet discussions can get. And they always seem more stinging and passionate than regular conversations because you don't really know what the other person is really thinking. It's a lot easier to tell when you can hear their voice or see their body language.

Questions to credibility always seem worse than they actually are. If someone said their car made 400 hp and I said prove it; they get insulted because to them I just called them a filthy liar, but in actuality, all I asked for was an explanation and a reason to believe them.

This discussion got out of hand (but also brought up a lot of good information) because people wanted proof of claims, and I don't think that's too much to ask. I have never posted actual claims of numbers, unless I've had something to back it up (a 1/4 mile slip, dyno, G-tech reading). I'll say if my car feels faster, or is running better, but I never make a claim unless there's something that I can convince other people with.

Red made a good point in one of the other threads: skepticism is good because there are a lot of people who will read a post and go "wow, now my car can go that fast" it's the job of the rest of us to question it, find the flaws and explanations, and educate (and learn from) each other. This keeps newbies from blowing their motor and allows us old fogies (LOL ) to exercise our brains.

I'm not calling anyone a liar in this situation or accusing anyone of being overzealous in the inquisition; what I am saying is that if you post numbers, expect skepticism; and when you criticize, expect rebuttals. Any everyone should back up their opinions with FACTS, not emotions.

Above all, don't take anything personally; remember, these are cars.

now excuse me while I go hug my car.

So you are wanting to leave?

You know what's funny, I wasn't even questioning your car, but you decided you wanted to fight me. So be it.

I was willing to let it slide being that you're defending your friend, but then you start slamming me because you question my abilities as a moderator.

I wasn't really going after you, until you lied about me sending you emails "begging for cams". Care to take that back?

Funny thing is, you pulled ALL these childish stunts because you didn't put up. I am a moderator; I am here to weed through the misinformation and the bloated and inflated claims to get to the HEART of the matter.

I don't pick favorites, I don't include certain members and exclude others. My only bias is that which is best for the Hyundai market. If you are spreading good information, I'm all for making it spread faster.

But if you're spreading stories that have no backing, it is my JOB to call you on it. Yes, a job -- my payment is knowing that, no matter what the issue, someone can come to me and get a 100% honest and straight answer.

I've had no luck selling my ECU because I'm too honest with people -- telling them that "chipped" ECU's are generally a bad thing and really do not enhance performance. It's not helping me sell my part, but it's helping the Hyundai community as a whole because I don't want to see someone ripped off.

If this is the way you meet a challenge, by running away, then so be it. But if you really want to earn any respect online or in real life, you need to step up, stay in and do business.

Also, if you're going to stick around, why don't you help me answer those questions I had for you in your dyno thread (that's now in the flame forum). I'm still very interested how YOUR dynosheet ended up with no indication of the actual dyno equipment (dynojet, mustang, et al) or the car listings, or even the correction factors.

Regards,
-Red-
