yeah that's Petter Solberg at a racing show in Japan. that's his signature. he made a combination of mistakes at that point: he sped up a little too fast on the corner. he didn't climb back in without touching the ground. and he jumped off backwards.

he actually ended up fracturing his ankle and hand. gotta give him cred for still running, that's got to be painful!!

 

I give him credit for an epic fail lol

this actually happened right before Subaru pulled out of the WRC. When they pulled out, he rose from the ashes and started his own privately funded team within two months. right now he is 3rd overall. he's a really cool nice and incredibly funny guy who has been racing top level with the legends!
