2009 is slowly coming.
That means the new Coupé is coming aswell.

Personally the more I look at a pic the more I'm diggin' it.
With some modifications here and there of course.
To bad there is no plan to release it in Europe yet (fingers crossed)

But I'm a bit curious to the market (you guys) who are able to drive it.
Who is thinking of buying it when it get's released?
And not to forget, what's gonna happen with your current Tibby?
Are you planning on continuing to mod yours or are you holding back and waiting to test the Coupé?

It def. get's my attention and I would love to see them driving here.

they've got euro plans for it domi. i think the overall idea is a beautiful one--a sports coupe. with generic looks it's built for both the general public as well as tuners alike.

the new coupe materials and overall sitting position look similar to the tiburon and like any new car it's an improvement by far. as for looks, they destroyed the sleek look the RD1 introduced (good example old Viper VS new Viper) with the GK (unsuccessfully kept trying to revive the poor thing with unworthy designs), and they keep hammering the rest of their lineup that way.

i believe that nobody should have to say that a car is growing on them, but instead love at first sight. as for the market, my entire neighborhood is converting to Hyundais and regardless of high gas prices they will buy these cars. i saw 50 SUV's yesterday, and i'm kind of happy gas prices are high. big dents in their wallets those pricks.

it looked like this it would be cool:

Well, I'm getting one, either next year or in 2010, it WILL be my next car. 2.0L Turbo of course.

THis will allow me to retire the RD and do the engine work I've wanted to do for so long, turn it into a true show car, or at least get it finished how I want to to give it to my son.

I am sure I will be getting Genesis Coupe. As for the Europe plans I am also sure that it will get here also

I am sure I will be getting Genesis Coupe. As for the Europe plans I am also sure that it will get here also but not before 2010 I am sure. Main reason being that engine currently does not satisfy EURO 4 norms. I recently talked with croatian distributor representative and he said that hey have already received colour book charts for both Genesis and Gensis Coupe. Market is getting ready.

the rumors here are as follows:

1. it looks to much like the new GK. well the inside anyway
2. here it will cost 40K
3. they are still road testing it here.
4. here there is a lot of he said she said shit.... to make it short

If i am able to get my hands on one. my finial project will be to shoehorn a 496 police intercept engine in it. or a supra engine i am not sure yet..but since it RWD the options are endless....

I will DEFINITELY be owning one. When, well, thats another question. At least 2 years out. I want to wait and let them get all the bugs out. Probably 2010 or 2011

if i were buying one, this is how mine would look. no dip. and a fender vent. the entire front would have to be fixed from looking like crotch as well.

I plan on getting one when i get back from Iraq, I should be able to put a good down payment on it sine the whole time i will be there I will be getting paid tax free, and i will be renewing my contract over there and get a $15,000 bonus that will also be tax free. Any word on about how much they will be selling them for.
