Gen Coupe Price And Veloster To Production
I actually wish the Gen Coupe was more so I couldnt afford it and wouldnt be tempted to go buy one. 23k for the R-spec or whatever is not bad at all. Dammit I shouldnt buy one but its such a hot car. That could be a bye-bye Tiburon car. Who knows.

I was thinking the same, then I remembered my Tib is paid off and the trade in will be shit.
LOL
My Genesis Coupe will be the DD with minor performance mods and styling, and the RD will get garaged and worked on for a year or so, and become my prize. LOL
Nope. Hyundai has said for years now, like I already said in here, that the Tiburon was going away and getting completely redesigned, with a new Tiburon coming out in 2010. This is for 2010, completely redesigned, and carries all of the traits of the Tiburon. I4, FWD, small sports coup. I about guarantee it'll be the new Tiburon. I just hope the back hatch gets redesigned a bit, that much glass will be heavy as hell.

^haha.
that's not the last of the news. here's what you can expect from the European design center in Germany:

"Hyundai HED-6 concept
Korean automaker Hyundai will be unveiling its new HED-6 concept car at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
Created at Hyundai's European Design headquarters in Rüsselsheim, Germany, the concept has been designed with everyday utility in mind, and is claimed to fit comfortably in urban or out-of-town environments. Exterior design elements include a sculpted backlight (realized through the use of Lexan plastic instead of glass), a hexagonal grille, angular feature lines and back-swept front headlamps. 'Ice Blue' exterior paint emphasizes the exterior form while 21-inch alloy wheels complete the look.
Powered by a 1.6-liter GDi turbocharged engine, the HED-6 concept is said to be a clear indication of the direction Hyundai will take with its next generation of SUVs."
i don't think the Tiburon name will carry over, or else they wouldn't have officially "dropped" the name. but we have to see.

honestly weight is not my issue with the veloster, i think its horribly ugly, and has the front of an 09 lancer and the side of a charger..... and the the rear is just horrible IMO i think a reincarnation of the tib in the veloster name would ruin the name.
*lol* dddude55, did you take those links off of HA? tongue.gif
We've talked to Hyundai USA about a couple of things over on Hyundai Aftermarket. Theres going to be a discussion coming up between a couple of their marketing reps and us to find out more details in regards to the Veloster and the R-Coupe Genesis....as well as the future of the next Tiburon. We have alot of planned things in the works with Hyundai USA, now that we're partnering up with them. As more info gets divulged, I'll share what I can with everyone. smile.gif

Gotcha....just wondering. We have an RSS feed setup that brings in Hyundai News from about 6 different sites. The minute they're posted, it hits HA almost instantly. We also have a forum (its hidden now until a couple of things are worked out) where Hyundai USA will be posting stuff for people to see, before any other site on the net. smile.gif
Anywho...the cool thing about the Genesis, is that after a year or so....I'm sure it'll be easy for people to get the base model 2.0 for under 20 Grand. smile.gif
