Gas Prices
So just curious as to what everyone is paying every week now that prices keep going up. When you vote, multiply that times 52 weeks and post up what you average per year in gas prices. The number is going to be pretty high for some of us.
Oh yeah....and keep in mind that the poll is for your Hyundai only. If you want to add other cars you might own, just put the results in your reply. smile.gif
Myself: $40/week x 52 weeks = $2,080 per year
Granted, this is just a high average since some weeks are more and others are less. Especially since I store my car in the winter months when theres snow on the ground (I do bring it out in the winter though when the roads are clear and its sunny). smile.gif

$55/week x52 weeks = $2,860/year.
That's for a "typical" week of one fill up. During the summer it's more like $100+ per week on average but it's unpredictable.
I use to drive 150 miles to work and back every day and I used about 10 gallons of gas to do that in my Blazer. With todays prices that would be $44.10 per day, $220.50 per week, or $11,466 per year assuming I never drove anywhere besides to work and back.

5-8 tanks/month. 5 tanks is basically work only. I pretty much never do that.
$40/tank = $200/month for work alone.
Did I mention my work is only 12 miles from my house (used to be 6)? so 25 miles round trip to work and I still manage to use a tank every 6 days or so. That means I do a round trip to work and back about 7 times every 5 days. wacko.gif
Then there is the other 1-3 tanks/month of recreational driving. breaker.gif

Ok, here is my deal
I work 60 miles away from home. Thats one way, so 120 miles round trip. I am currently driving the wifes car. Beta swap going on. Its a 01 cougar with a V6 that get around 26MPG.
It takes now around 60+ to fill up. Last fill up was 62.00 @ 4.25 a gal.
Atleast onetanks per week.
62x52=3224 a yr.
268 a month.
Edit; I fill up 1.5 times a week not one.
With a this said then its like this.
93x52=4836
that 403 a month at current gas prices.

I remember swearing I was going to quit driving forever because gas broke $1.00/gallon.
That's when I could fill up my old full sized Blazer for $30. Now if I still drove it I would be paying $132 per fill up.
