So imagine you have a choice:
1. Turbocharge 1997 year Tibby with 130,000 miles (changed piston rings 30,000 miles ago) to get 200-220 whp.

2. Change to a new car (with 0 miles). Car like:
Renault Megane (front, back)

Mitsubishi Colt (front, back)

Citroen C4 (front, back)

Megane and C4 has 1.6 engine with 110 hp, Colt has 1.3 with 95 hp.

Here are some price:
1997 Tibby in Ukraine is about $10,000
those new car are about $18,000

need your oppinion
thanx

there's nohting like the feeling of 15lbs and a tibby steering wheel at your fingertips...

I'm in the same position as you Dmitry (without the second option)...as far as Tib year and # of miles.

If you're concerned with the high milage on your car, why don't you swap the engine for one that has lower milage or over haul the one you have and then turbo charge it?

I would overhaul the motor you have, replace some hard to reach parts that are important to the car, and turbocharge it. Then you can rape those little 1.6L 95hp Colts or whatever at the dragstrip. tongue.gif
