Funny Things You Saw At New Years
OK this is to post some funny thing people were doing. I was at a party and realized alot of people went out front. So I went to see what was going on there were 2 guys launching bottle rockets and holding firecrackers then throwing them. I soon moved my car because they were close to it. One guy was holding a M80 and threw it at the last second and it exploded right in his face. The other neighbors were shoting each other with air soft guns from like 5 feet away. I think they were drinking some lmao.gif

My funny thing...well it's a story, one of those "shoulda happened to Faithofadragon" stories.... ugh
My girlfriend is on her way to pick me up from my friends house in South Seattle. She is driving real late at night up the freeway where there's NO traffic. Then all of a sudden BAM, a sea of red. Traffic is at a dead stop on Hwy 167 North (which connects to I-5 via I-405). She's been there for an hour and hasn't moved an INCH.
She can't go forwards, can't go backwards, cars all around her and there are no visible exits. People are even backed up on both medians. The freeway becomes "the new year's party" for all the motorists on the freeway for the next 6-8 hours.
So she calls me and I'm a lil' pissed and begin to think of what to do. I guess some dude got pulled over and started shooting at undercover cops. Two cops down, and he runs in the woods next to the freeway. He's got a gun and keeps shooting at the helicopters (soon to come) and police officers on the ground.
2 hours later I am bored off my ass thinking "WOW, there's nothing I can do for her..." I went on RDTiburon.com of course and got even more bored. So I decided to have my friend take me to where she was on the other side of the freeway and I'd hop the median and at least keep her company while she waits....
We get there are all on-ramps and exits are closed and blocked by police from six different cities. I felt like I was in L.A. nothing like this happens in Seattle dammit. (At the time I didn't know bout the dude in the woods, I thought it was just a really bad car accident or something).
So I know this spot where I can hop a fench and walk through the bushes for a minute to get to the freeway and then finally find my girlfriend. We go over the bridge/overpass and see the police blocking the hundreds and hundreds of cars. It's so backed up motorcycle cops can't get through. I start to think this isn't just an accident.
So, this was my big mistake, the "spot" I was thinking of was right below where the helicopters were circling and where the dude was hiding I guess.
I hop the fence with my backpack on and start walkin through the woods/brush. A police helicopter shines his highbeams, or whatever, on me and starts to follow my path. That's when I realize this is a manhunt not an accident. Nothing happens, I think nothing of it he's just helping me see where I am going...
I get to the freeway and start walkin down past all the cars and people start to mumble under their breath "Is that the guy they are looking for??...It is, That's HIM. Call 9-1-1"
I'm like no, no listen I am not the guy and they all get back in their cars. I'm like, ok fugg this I'm finding my girlfriend and sittin in her car. The helicopters left me alone but the motorcycle cop is speeding through the sea of parked cars I guess to find ME. I am walking down the median and he passes me on the other side. I see some dude stop the cop and point at me and now he's coming behind me on foot. He calls for me to put my hands up and I do without turning around. He says take off your backpack and I do,
as I take off my backpack he screams, "I said keep your hands up" and tackles me into the ditch on the side of the road. He checks me and asks for ID. He finds out who the fvck I am and what I am doing. I go on with my business, and that was my new years...

^^ true...
wink1.gif
but anyways, that wasn't really stuff I saw, here's a few pics that made me go "WTF?" this past week.
What the crap is our tax dollars going to?

I found a street called "Jihad Ct." in Scottsdale off Scottsdale Ave going southbound only. It's a residential street with a cul-de-sac but I dunno what the crap they were thinking when they named that. I didn't get to take a picture, but this blew my mind.
