I agree. It is a dismal state of affairs and people could care less because they're ignorant of what they're losing. As the Bill of Rights dissolves it's becoming increasingly important that we preserve the first and second amendments. IMO the first Amendment is already lost, and they're trying like hell to take the second. It'll be done over my dead body.

That's one school cop and I'm sure he was dealt with by a supervisor afterwards if the person filed a complaint with the obvious video evidence.

that is true, freedom of speech might as well be a clog in a pipe. this isn't the america it used to be by all means. the people who don't realize this, are living distanced by length and landscape. in the city anything and everything goes.

i am neither left winged or right winged, black winged or white winged, but according to the constitution the guy clearly has the right to put that poster up, he's not breaking any laws or trespassing. the cop seems like a nice calm fellow trying to do the right thing, however, he should not have the authority to force someone from their right. especially if the protester seems like an intelligent citizen.

Sure, this is one instance, but this is going on all the time. And one time is one time too many.

Hmm I see a different perspective here. I guess i don't have any right to comment as I'm canadian... Personally I think that these videos are getting out of hand. People are making them just to get some fame just like the guy that brought 300 000 pennies to pay his parking ticket.

If he's on school property then he does not have the right to post whatever he wants. Just like if someone came to my house and tried to post a poster it's private property. Freedom of speech is great but it's null and void if the poster is insulting to anyone. These guys making these videos are just out to cause crap. I think the cop was in the right here and was trying to settle an argument very calmly. Two of them were fighting over taking the sign down or not. As a cop the easiest and best thing to do would be to take the damn poster down.

Yes, but what are you going to do about one individual choosing to violate another individual's rights? Just saying this video is a bad example. Now, if the entire department had a history of violating people's rights, that's something we can "rage" against.
