Most of those DID make it into the media, but it wasn't very widely publicized... and you have to be keeping up with the news to hear about it. I doubt it made the front page of the L.A. Times or anything

Sorry, that's what I meant. It did make it in the news, just not the 5pm headlines or anything. I keep tabs on the news (mainly through www.reuters.com), and I don't ever remember seeing any of those.

I just learned that they are building a bridge to re-route traffic between Arizona and Nevada around the Hoover Dam, and will then not allow traffic across.
