because of my never ending pile of debt, i'm just going to begin putting after market things into my car (had it since july 03). Need some help picking my first thing.....either CAI or a short throw. the AEM at www.dragracing.com is at too great of a price to pass up, so i'm leaning towards that. would that be the better choice? (between CAI and S/T)

YES CAI
You will see more gains
Unless you are doing alot of track racing, the SS is not the best mod, but IS a good mod. I love mine.

But go for CAI first

I agree... the CAI was my first engine mod.. the first real performance mod was to go from 14 to 16 inch rims and tyres...

Having a short throw shifter is nice.. but for the street you might not notice much of a difference.. but you wll with the CAI.

Buy a "TRUE CAI" off eBay from SSAutochrome for $50 - $60, then use the extra to help pay for the short throw. That way you get both, for right around the same price. Unless you are going for "Show", then pick up the AEM, judges like the name. wink1.gif

Yea, i'll prolly go with the CAI. my tax return money is going towards my 17" wheels/tires. working at sears auto has good benefits...like being able to get things at cost 8)

Or get the SSAutochrome one and buy yourself an AEM sticker

has anyone heard of the company BOMZ for CAI? i found a bunch of their's on Ebay for like $50. don't wanna buy a cold air unit that just sucks or won't be a good fit or all that happy horsesh1t.
also, can a CAI really increase by 15 horse? that seems like a lot just for a CAI. (new to the aftermarket game, if you couldn't tell by this and my other posts)

15 horse? hardly.. but when combined with the sound at wide open throttle.. you might think you added a hundred.
