How to Speed Up FireFox
This is noticable only if you have broadband, otherwise it doesn't make much of a difference.
If you do have broadband though - it will definitely make pages load WAY faster!
1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit enter. Scroll down and look for the following entries:
Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.
2. Alter the entries as follows:
Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true" by double-clicking it.
Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true", also by double clicking.
Set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.
3. Now just right-click anywhere and select:
Name it:
Once you're done, close all FireFox windows, open FF back up, and away you go fing02.gif

and set its value to 0. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves. Once you're done, close all FireFox windows, open FF back up, and away you go fing02.gif
^^ You should DEFINITELY try it again.
Especially with the speed trick fing02.gif
What didn't you like about it when you tried it?
lol Also, the new skin uses normal CSS that is 100% standard, but there is one feature of it that doesn't work in IE. In any other browser, if you hover your mouse over the search in the very top right of the header, it turns white like a normal text box. In IE, it stays green as if nothings happening (search still works though).
Just an first-hand example of 1 of the eleventy-billion things wrong with IE.

Are you sure they are gone? I've never heard of anyone say that before.
Sometimes my bookmarks toolbar gets reset, and I just have to disable it, then re-enable it, and it's fine. Maybe this is what's happening?
If not, submit a bug report so they can fix it. smile.gif
