Figured there was enough talk lately to warrant an ongoing thread. smile.gif
Here's some of my updates:
Put radioactive Tritium night sights on the Glock 22 .40S&W.

Spent an evening modifying the AR-15 and Saiga .223:

Added a NcSTAR 3-9x tactical scope to the AR.

It has a P4 sniper reticle which allows you to compensate for bullet drop and wind drift as well as estimate range based on size of objects in the scope. For me it isn't necessary to estimate bullet drop using the reticle. I simply select 100-500 yards using a knob on the scope and it sets zero at that yardage. I can use the reticle to calculate for ranges beyond 500 yards out to probably 700 yards but that would take a lot of practice and it's beyond the capability of the rifle and scope to hit "accurately" at 500+ yards. I could probably hit a man sized target at 500 yards pretty easily, but it probably won't perform more precisely than that.

It also has red and green reticle illumination for enhanced visibility in certain lighting conditions.

It has a ruby coated lens to help prevent glare.

It also has flip up scope covers. You can take a quick shot through them but it keeps you from getting water or debris on the lenses before you're ready to fire.

Added a US made Tapco T6 stock to the Saiga .223 and some US made 30 round magazines to bring the rifle into compliance with 922-r regulations (only allow you to have 10 foreign made parts on a non-sporting rifle)

I really love the new Tapco stock. The rifle shoulders and points much better than with the factory stock.
I think it looks a lot meaner than it did with the sporterized stock also.

Here's what they use to look like

Here's the Desert Eagle .50AE that I just traded away. The guy already had to sell it to make rent. I considered buying it back but I think my money is best spent elsewhere.

I got a Sig P230 .380ACP in LNIB condition with 5 mags and a Glock 22 .40 S&W in good condition missing it's front sight.

The Sig P230 is a great little carry pistol and nicer than the Bersa Thunder I was thinking about buying.

The Glock before the new sights.

Nice. My Uncle has three AR-15's. One has a sniper scope and a bipod, one has a halo sight and led flashlight (which is bright as H*LL), and the thrid does just has the forward grip. I get some pics when I go over there one day.

That's cool. I want to build a couple more AR's myself. Right now they're worth their weight in gold though. If you can get a lower receiver you can probably build it later if they get banned because that's the part the BATFE considers to be a "firearm".
Here's the old sights on the AR

And I can't leave out the SKS

I thought about moving the trigger up to the classic AK position, but I'm a bigger guy with long arms and the added stability of the longer weapon is a bonus for me. I added about an inch to the max length with the T6 stock also and that's where I like it. If the Saigas still cost $325 like when I bought mine I would get another in 7.62x39 with the 16 inch barrel and do the full AK conversion.
I took busy_squirrel bear hunting and he got one with his scoped S-308. smile.gif
