I dont smoke (never have, never will), but I can only imagine how pissed alot of smokers are that today begins the .62 tax hike on all cigarettes. Those of you that do smoke, will this be an incentive to get you to quit, or cut down?
Heres the story on CNN about it:

No one will quit, are you guys crazy ? It's an addiction. Only reason I stopped smoking is because I wanted to, not because it was too expensive.
Some states, like here in AZ have nasty taxes on cigs. A normal pack of Marlboro Reds is like $6, you can get them in most other states I've been to for like $3. An increase in taxes is just going to hurt people's pocketbooks as well as their lungs haha.

People will at least cut back on how many they smoke.
Spoken like a true non-smoker. I smoked for 13 years (cigs went from $1.85/pk. to $5 in that time), and like said above, the only way you quit is the want to. If you don't want to, you're doomed before you start.
