This is how it should be

1.) Good
2.) Decent
3.) Horrible
4.) Best

RedZ is focused on godly hot chicks and rediculous cars, I like realisticly hot chicks and realistic cars haha

He lost his job as a cop, but was recruited to the FBI, after he hung out with tyrese and ludacris in the second movie.

I was thinking the same thing and I figured that $hit out... It's a prequel to 2fast2furious and tokyo drift, it's the only thing that makes sense..

F&F (4) was actually between 1 and 2. Not 2 & 3.

Um, how do you figure? There is a vignette before part 2 that shows Paul Walker running after letting Vin go and traveling across the country to end up in Miami. He is running from the cops after the first movie. He is recruited to the FBI in the second flick. He is in the FBI in the 4th. Han is alive and talking about hitting up Tokyo, so it is obviously before the 3rd flick, not to mention Vin's cameo in 3. He also mentions in his cameo that he used to run with Han. This movie definitely takes place between 2 & 3.

Okay to explain why I think falls between 1 & 2. And obviously I may be wrong but here are the facts:
-This is obviously before the 3rd movie and after the 1st.
-Brian is running from the cops after he let Vin Diesel go.
-At the beginning of 2F2F Brian is still running and this is when he picks up his Skyline that he paints etc and drives in 2F2F. Is this because he drove one in F&F (4) and is familiar with it? Because in 2F2F the dealers are trying to sell him other cars but he points and picks the Skyline.
-At the end of 2F2F, Brian and Roman finish off with a lot of cash (many stacks of 10k) that they are going to use to start their own garage. And their records are wiped clean.

-At the beginning of F&F (4) Brian has been brought back to the FBI, for whatever reason we dont know. But why would have been "a mistake to bring you back" if his record was wiped clean and he helped the FBI capture the bad guys.
-Dom has to run after F&F (4) because turning himself in obviously didnt work for him. So he most likely leaves after for Japan (in pursuit of Han?).
-Brian helped Dom escape so he has to run too now.

So the reason why it seems to fit best between 1 & 2 is because he has money at the end of 2F2F to do what he wants to do with a clean record and obviously he enjoys street racing, tuning etc more than he does being a cop/agent. The biggest giveaway though however is when he is asked why he let Dom go in F&F and he says I dont know, where as in 2F2F he tells Roman why, because he tuned Roman in and saw Roman in Dom when the cops were coming for him at the end of F&F.

I understand this is debatable and can go on forever, i guess the best answer would be the 5th movie. Also the time-line seems skewed and oddly out of place because Tokyo drift was the year 2006, yet in F&F (4) when he is picking the Skylines one of his picks is a R35 so 2008+.

I haven't seen it cuz well . . . I'm in the desert with no DL here but Miss Rodriguez though not all there in the head, stated on Letterman that it's a sequel to the first and that though the third adds a bit here and there, the 2 and 3 are pretty standalone that just use the title to say this is the type of movie your going to see and does not have to be a tie in to link them all together. They can be anything with anybody which the directors stated they were going for when they took on the second and third. I really don't care but she stated it so I'm including it in the silly debate.

IMO it is enjoyment of cars and action with at least decent acting so:

1.Solid (storyline is a whole 30 minutes of writing with a LONG pause of cars and hanging out in the middle)
2. GARBAGE, belongs in the 80's genre.
3.Greatly enjoyable (shows SOME thought and complexity of 2-3 storyline/ideas that carry throughout the whole movie)
4. Can't say but looks good and I love movies so I'm sure it will be better than #2 thus adding to the series.

But you also missed the bit about how it had been 5 years since what had happened in the first film. Remember the cafe scene near the beginning of FF4? 2 happened shortly after 1, and since 5 years had passed, the money he walked away with at the end of 2 could have been pissed away carelessly. But then, they also basically ignored film 2 for this one. The only thing that ties in film 2 is the fact that Brian is working for the FBI AFTER his record has been wiped clean in 2.

Because even the director knows the second movie sucked and they didn't play into it at all for the movie. They only make reference to the first and third movies. Like I said, who knows what happened in five years. That money could be long gone after five years.
