I have posed this question because some of the smartest people I know come across as dumb sometimes. I know there are different measures of what one perceives as smart, but the people I refer to have very high IQs.

 

one of the smartest guys i attend class with acts like a moron at times. ive come to the realization its not cuz he "acts dumb" but more so that he has somewhat of a social insecurity. he doesnt want to be perceived as arrogant and above others.



look at the really "smart" people they show in mass media: the guys from big bang theory, house, bones etc.
