Wow, what an immature dad. He spent just spent $130 to fix it, and it probably cost ~$500 new, and he shot it. This is the equivillant of a 8 year old tantrum while playing a video game that doesn't go his way and he throws his controller and breaks it.
First of all, kids say these things about parents, all kids since the dawn of time I am sure. The difference is, it is usually to 1 or 2 friends and it is heat of the moment and it passes. Now since it is online, others see it, and it doesn't really pass as fast. Went to college in HS.....blah blah blah, all while trudging through 5 feet of snow 50 yards bare foot to use the outhouse right? We have all heard tis speech, it is quite cliche to hear both rants.
Sure, ground your kid and don't spoil them and take her laptop and use it or sell it, good advice to yourself. And you spent half your day an $130 to fix your dauters laptop hopefully because you love her, not because she is 'good'. I would also hope you would punisher her to correct her and teach her right from wrong, and shocker, be the ADULT. Not stoop to her level, and have another e-tantrum like your daughter and then go and shoot it. The reason you don't spoil them is not to be a dick, but to teach them value in things and hard work and greatfulness, again a lesson, not just to get your rocks off on a power trip becuase you are immature.
Sure if you wanted to post a video on her FB to let her friends know what she did and how she is punished, but be an adult about it.
And he doesn't even know what a hollow point is, it is expanding when it hits something soft, not "expoloding", especially not on a laptop. Fail on so many levels.
