So I got fitted today for contacts and they gave me a free trial pair and I go back in a week so the doctor can see how it is working out for me. Does anyone have any input on contacts? Like? Dislike? And Why?
They are nice if you hate glasses. They wont be as effective as glasses either, unless you have a very minor prescription. I just ordered purple ones which Im picking up tomorrow.
I have alot of friends who have contacts, and they love them. Just make sure you dont sleep in them, and take them out every day or else you'll get infections. I have a couple of friends who got Lasik also, and they swear by it. I have perfect vision, so I have no feedback for you. smile.gif

Everytime I go to the eye doctor they ask me if I want to get contacts. I tell them "no I'm not responsible enough" HA!!!
I only say that because way back 10 years ago or so I was really really into limp bizkit and I saved up money to get the black eye mod. Yeah I left them in for 3 weeks and I got one hell of an eye infection.

Wow my brother goes weeks and weeks without taking them out, I struggled getting the out last night but I will get the hang of it and I think it makes me most excited that I can wear the cool sunglasses I have always wanted to wear. Tho it would be nice to get that surgery done and correct my eyes with o glasses or contacts anymore.
i wish i could still wear my contacts. my eyes produce too much potassium so even after wearing them for say...4 hours... they are drying out cause of potassium deposits.
so my solution is when i buy glasses actually get oakley sunglasses and get prescription lenses put in them. true, oakley makes a RX line and i have had a pair but they dont make my fave frames anymore in the rx line. not into boxy style frames that seem to be their fortay right now.

i know this is an old thread but i have been wearing contacts for 6 years now. Yes, you may encounter some problems but it all goes away with practice. i wear acuvue with hydroclear 2 week lenses. as long as you take care of them, you can get longer use out of them. i get over a month out of each lens.
