Exhaust
Got my Apexi N1 exhaust fitted today...sounds really agressive and mean...just how I wanted it to. Thanks Jon!
But I do have one complaint: There is a small leak where they welded it together. And I'm hoping this is why there seems to be an HP decrease. It doesn't seem "peppy" right now.....Would a small leak cause this? I know any leak would not help things, and I would also notice an HP drop...But it doesn't seem like such a small leak would cause this much HP decrease. Someone gimme there thoughts please. But the Exhaust is hella SWEET!!!!!
Bad Day: well the exhaust was supposed to be delivered to my work...but it wasn't. I got a call and they said we canty deliver it because we dont have a suite for the address. Dumb asses...We own the hole building. 9 Suites. Pick one...So i said screw it..leave it at the post office and i'll pick it up "OK, it'll be waiting there for you". OK, I'll be there in two hours to pick it up. "OK" Lunch time get here..off to post office..14minutes in line. Then they couldn't find it...so they said they would call me when the driver gets in...And at this point...IM ABOUT TO GRAB THE LITTLE MONKEY BEHIND THE COUNTER AND ...RAGE.....Instead I voiced my thoughts about what just happend to me..kinda loud..But i didnt really care...because it was all there fault. So I leave..then I'm thinking...hrmmmm...So I call and speak to the H*IC...I tell him my story..am i instist they HE goes and looks for it...well 10minutes later..still in parking lot <12:39pm> and he found it. So I said meet me up front and take it to the counter. As I walk thru ther line past everyone <about 20 peeps, getting dirty looks> There it is...all ready..this should be nice and quick now...WRONG!!! It was sent COD..So I was gonna pay with my Visa/Check card. Well since NO-ONE has EVERY paid a COD with a Check card...that process took 22minutes and four...YES four co-workers to figure out how to do it..it was kinda funny to see all these monkeys tryin to get it to work...The whole time im getting more pissed of....So I finally leave the post office and it like 5 after 1:00 <1 hour lunch> Im like screw this noise...and went to get it installed....I finally got back to work @ around 3:15ish. Install was only $40.00 for it. Which was the lowest...Most places like tuffy/midas wanted to charge like 80-90 for the install. And an import shop wanted to charge me 115.00 to do it....WTH were they smoking? Gimme like 2 O's off it....So now I get to go back to the muffler shop tomm. and they better fix/do it right this time....well this was a semi-flame/off topic post...

What is not understood? Since the new exhaust <which there is a little air leak where they welded it> there is a LOSS of HP. Shouldn't it be the other way around??? Would a little leak cause alot of HP loss? I know it's small when at an idle....but not certain hoiw much of a leak when I punch it...
Just got back from a 11:00pm-11:45pm joy ride....wife was like wtf man?
) But she's kewl and know's this will be happening for a few days...like any new mod... )

Yes.. Hp loss could be caused by leak since there is loss of pressure..I cannot say that I'm sure because I don't know the set up of your exhaust..It could be just the set up that you are lossing Hp.. Bigger isn't always better..
