Ever downplay a previous role to get a job?
Anyone ever put a lower/lesser role on their resume to get a position with a company?
What was the logic behind your decision?
Do you think it's dishonest to downgrade your resume?

Anything shy of entirely truthful information will and should get you fired when it is discovered, and be a drop-dead disqualifier if it is found during the hiring process during a background check
However, you don't have to be truthful about something if you don't say it at all. Sometimes a job is best left OFF a C.V. but it depends on the company where you are applying. If you haven't already sought professional guidance on writing a resume and got some interview training, get to your local State employment agency immediately and ask for assistance.

Why not just cut to the chase and ask around a soup kitchen for investment advice?
Or ask bacon how to not be tasty?

Tibbi, I've had 2 jobs since I left the Navy. I was hired on the spot for both. I give lots of credit for that to the excellent guidance I received from the Worksource Career Center people and their classes on resume writing and interview technique. Just because they work for the government doesn't guarantee they suck.
