emissions question

dont really know where this would go, and i need an answer fast, so i posted it here.
will having my airbag light on cause me to fail emissions, even if it is just because i took the dash off without disconnecting the battery first?

theres no cel, but last time i went, i think the guys failed me because i just had my gauges in(my rd2 cluster) and when the CEL comes on when you first turn the car on, it was partially lit up. i just think they were being asshats, but i dont wanna spend another 14 dollars for nothing. the specific thing i failed last time i went was "MIL Engine ON".

ok.. with ORBII you cannot have the CEL on to pass emissions testing. Also, they query the comp for any codes.. so if you JUST reset the comp.. they cannot pass or fail you...
